To help workers maintain their income amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the Federal Government created Emergency Aid, which is nothing more than a financial benefit aimed at informal workers, self-employed people, micro-entrepreneurs and low-income families with a stipend of R$ 600 per month during the pandemic.
Aid in 2020 helped many families stay afloat, as many lost their jobs and didn't know what to do.
Fortunately, a large number of people managed to rebuild their companies and there were many hires, however, many still live the sad reality of unemployment.
Therefore, the Federal Government decided to continue payments to families in this situation, however with some restrictions. Look!
How 2021 Emergency Aid works
According to the program's new guidelines, only one member of the registered family can receive Emergency Aid in 2021.
The portion will be divided as follows: for female heads of households, an amount of approximately R$ 375.00 will be made available.
For those who are part of a low-income family and live alone, it is possible to receive around R$ 150.00.
For self-employed and informal workers, and also micro-entrepreneurs, they will be entitled to receive an amount of R$ 250.00.

Families that are part of the Bolsa Família Program
However, to receive the aid, the citizen must be over 18 years old, not have a permanent job and their income must be a maximum of half the minimum wage. Also remember that you cannot have someone in your family who earns more than three minimum wages.
For those who receive Bolsa Família, they may also receive Emergency Aid as long as the amount is greater than what they already receive under the Program.
Thus, the beneficiary can choose which of the two they want to receive. The Emergency Aid installments fall directly into the Bolsa Família account.
How do I know if I will receive the Emergency Aid installment in 2021?
To find out if the Aid will be available in your name, wait for an analysis from Dataprev which will inform you whether you are eligible to receive the 2021 Aid.
It will be available from April until December 2021.
To check, access the Dataprev website providing your details such as CPF, parents' names, full name and date of birth.
