The print blocking feature brings greater control over WhatsApp users' privacy settings. However, the feature is still only available to members who are part of the Google Play Beta testing program.

The blocking function seeks to prevent other users from taking screenshots of photos and videos that are shared in the app's conversations.

As it is still in its infancy, the feature only brings the image blocking with single view, the other images can still have their screenshot.

As soon as the user activates print blocking, if the other user tries to capture the screen, what will appear to them will be a darkened image. The feature also blocks third-party extensions that try to find a breach in privacy security.

Furthermore, the user can have control over enable or disable blocking print in your settings, whenever you want.

However, it is worth noting that the new function does not prevent a photo of the conversation from being taken with another cell phone or camera.

When will the feature be available to everyone?

At the moment, this month of October, WhatsApp's new print blocking feature is only available in its beta, testing version, in android, with app version 2.22.22.3.

The people testing new features are users enrolled in the testing program. Thus, they will give feedback if there is a need for improvements, a rating for the new functionality, and then the Meta group will decide whether it will be opened to the public.

There is still no date for the new feature to be open to everyone, but it doesn't usually take that long.

It is also known that, before being opened to the public, the new feature must go to the test version of the iOS system and to other test platforms.

This new feature, announced in August, by CEO, Zuckerberg, was created along with other new features that the application promises to bring, such as the possibility of viewing lists of users who have previously participated in groups and the possibility of hiding their online status.
