The program is within the Bill 3904/2019 that works alongside the PL 10141/2018, which aims to offer free driver’s license renewal.
Beneficiaries of other projects can still join social driver's license, people who acquire Bolsa Família and who fit the rules of this program will also be able to be automatically included.
What you need to access a free driver's license:
– Be over 18 years old;
– Be unemployed for at least one year;
– Have a monthly income of up to three minimum wages, that is, up to R$ 2,994.00 in family income;
- Read and write;
– Have mandatory documents such as ID, CPF and proof of address;
– Not being prevented by Detran from issuing a driver’s license.
How to register
To win yours driver's license, you must do the following:
1. Enter the official website of DMV, from the state where you reside;
2. On the home page, go to the option or type in search “CNH Social Registration”;
3. Fill out a form that will appear on the page with your personal data for analysis.
4. Finally, click “send”.
Once this is done, just wait for the Government's analysis of the request for a free driver's license.
Detran’s role in providing the driver’s license
